Learn how Ferris' Bueller's iconic vest/tee pairing started
Did you know the patterned vest Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) wears into Chicago on his day off was initially a cardigan?
According to Marilyn Vance, costume designer for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,
“I went over to [the department store] Marshall Field’s and looked at the sweaters; I cut the sleeves off one and that was his sweater vest.”
Ferris' vest/tee pairing has become such an iconic look, that when shopping for a Ferris Bueller Halloween costume, that's what you're gonna get.
