About
On this largely outdoor walking tour, hit Millennium Park's highlights—"the Bean" (aka Cloud Gate), Crown Fountain, and Jay Pritzker Pavilion—as you hear about their ties to the movies.
This 8-stop journey across Chicago's Millennium Park kicks off in the South Garden of the Art Institute of Chicago. There, learn about Chicago fountains and sculptor Lorado Taft's connections to early cinema.
Then, making your way up Michigan Avenue, encounter one of Ferris Bueller's hangouts, engage with digital film technology and water, and hear about popular summertime movie screenings for all Chicagoans. Along the way, we'll glance down at remnants of Millennium Park's former life, and look up to see where Hollywood's "babysitting adventures" went horribly awry.
Finally, descend underneath Millennium Park through the tunnel where The Dark Knight filmed its now-famous Batman/Joker chase scene.
